Every year Indian sloth bears are killed for their gallbladder and other body parts. They are poached from the wild as babies and cruelly abused while being trained to become dancing bears. Helping to rescue the sloth bears as fast as we can may save them from extinction, we hope.

Chinook are one of the most highly valued species of Pacific Ocean Salmon. They are prized not only for their health benefits, such as their high oil and mineral content, but also for their firm texture and succulent pink flesh. King or Chinook salmon are actually the largest of the Pacific Ocean salmon species and they are also the most scarce in terms of population numbers. These salmon spawn in natural rivers and lakes; however they often spend between one to five years in the ocean before they return to their home waters to lay their eggs and spawn; unlike other species of salmon, Chinooks prefer deeper and larger waters to spawn.

Every year the Emperor Penguin follows a long, hard, migration path to a place in Antarctica away from their normal home by the edge of the sea. They do this because during the fall Emperor Penguins mate and the female lays an egg. The reason they migrate inland away from water is so that when the egg hatches there will be more ice under the newborn penguin's feet and much less chance of it falling through into the ocean.
