Western movies depict the lives of early cowboys and their struggle to conquer the Wild West. Many illustrate the bloodshed that was involved between the settlers and the native Indians. The stories are interesting as you watch the modernization of the west. In reading and watching these materials you will understand the history of the early America and the origin of some of the biggest cities in the west. Most of the western books are like history books and are based on true stories that happened many years ago. Despite some being fictional they deliver the message accurately. Rusty has lived as a Cheyenne for three years with his adoptive father Tall Elk and his family in "Adventures of Rusty Son of Tall Elk" the sequel to "Rusty Son of Tall Elk". Westerns have been around for a long time, and there is no better reading on a rainy weekend, especially when sitting in an easy chair in front of a warm fire. But Western's are pretty much the same aren't they? Well ---yes---and that's what makes Sean Chandler's "Gospel of the Gun" such a pleasure to read.
