The Time Machine, Venture Capital Needed
Imagine that you now have a time machine. What does it look like? How does it work? What time would you travel to? Would you change the course of history? What would the affects of time travel be? And suddenly you have a great deal more questions than answers right? I have thought of many more questions if I had a time machine. To get started with the time machine anybody who does have one would first have to know how to use it. First let's use our imagination and think it real that time travel exists. In fact think that this has been going ON for a long time and you just discovered that one such machine is already at your disposal. You don't question the obvious yet and you get your hands ON one. What would you do first?
I know what I would do. I would explore the possibilities. Since the machine exists and I can travel through time and what time would I choose to visit? Would I go to some future time or some previous time? What I'm thinking is that either way there are many uncertainties and so many in fact that I might take years exploring either direction. For the purpose of this writing I'll choose to go back in time to simplify things. At least I think it would simplify things since the time has already been recorded and there's a record of when and where in time. I would choose the date and exact moment carefully because after asking a few more questions that can be answered simply by knowing that if I change something back then there will be a record of it today. I must be careful to stay an observer only.
The moral here is that to this day an observer does just that and goes unnoticed. This sounds easy but is it really? I also know that if something can go wrong it likely will so being overly cautious is at a minimum part of the plan. To simplify things a little more I've chosen to go to Philadelphia and PA in the year 1776 ON July 4th in the early morning. I choose a conspicuously remote arrival point not to far from the State House. The reason I have chosen this exact moment in history is because there's a great deal written about the date and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Sounds easy however imagine what can go wrong.
Am I wearing the right clothing and colors for the period? Can you think of what would happen should I be spotted by a patriot and taken into custody because I'm not dressed right? How would the citizens of the day react if they suspect me of being anything other than a patriot? There are numerous other possibilities so for now let's say that everything is perfect so far and I wanted to get a close look at Thomas Jefferson. I want to watch him present the declaration to a 13 colonies congress. Since this might be my first time travel trip I want things to go perfectly smooth. Are you imagining this adventure yet? Just think of how many questions are now unanswered with all the information currently available to make such a journey.
If I gave you a time travel device the unanswered questions that come up is likely the reason you would never take such an adventure. As humans we like a sure thing as much as possible. It's a fact of life that most of us want to stay alive as long as possible. Generally speaking we as humans live for the moment trying to plan our future. We do all this ON faith and to prove it is easy. Think of the possibility that the information to make this travel time possible is unreliable. What if the writers of the day embellished one thing that could put you in the wrong place at the wrong time? What if you neglected to shut OFF your cell phone? Just kidding and you wouldn't bring your cell phone or laptop with you now would you? Just one wrong detail and you're made at any point.
What would it serve if you did have a time machine and you could successfully make a journey like this? The questions I'm asking myself are the same questions any responsible person would ask. To be responsible I'll take you ON a more realistic journey. Let yourself think of a time and space you know for absolute certainty you personally can go to. Think of the moment exactly and then place yourself there right now. You can do this without a machine because it is your time and space and it's precise. It could be any moment you already experienced and you are perfectly clear about the time and space. Take the machine you have been given as you imagined it and think about going back in time with it to the very moment you will travel to. Ask yourself if you thought of everything. Have you really thought of everything? Where are you going to observe from? Have I accounted for every detail so that I would for certain be the observer?
OK and you are certain and OFF in time you go. What are you thinking now and where are you? Take a moment and look at yourself. Are you looking at the then or the now back then? Are you looking at yourself physically as you are today but in that other space and time? Do you have your travel machine with you at all times so you can get back? How are you seeing this with yourself in the picture? Had you really thought of everything before making the trip or has something not previewed come up?
The questions can go ON and ON. It's useless trying to think of everything since at the very point you think you have answers you will realize that any answer would be followed by yet more questions. As certain as you think you are and you are also at the point of uncertainty. To me the real question is and are you willing to try and do you believe you can? If you said yes lets go ON another journey. This time we will go into the future to explore that possibility.
At this point you must know that what you think is real is and whatever you are thinking is the thing. Since your thought is your thing I would ask that you think of some future time. A time that you have yet to experience or a time so far from now that you find it hard thinking that far ahead. If you are thinking of a time you know you could be living in then think of the when and where. If you can do this then get back to the time machine as you imagined it and take the journey right now. Without going into any great detail I think you likely did not think about what you are wearing and exactly where you are did not matter and any other detail did not surface. You just took the journey without hesitating. This is because the future is yet to be written and the point is that time travel to the future is safer than time travel to the past.
If you are thinking for one instant that such a time machine exists then you are right. If you think this to be pure fantasy then you are right. The point is that what you think is right and that your thought is your thing. Thoughts are things. With your thought in mind may I suggest that you take a time journey to a very distant time? A time so far from now that the uncertainty of the when and where is certain. Let's imagine that the world as we know it has not existed for millenniums and that you can observe without being seen. You can do this because your time machine allows you to do it. Because time is measured in the smallest detail as instantaneous you take the journey to your future time and what do you behold immediately? What are you looking at? Are there people in your vision? What kind of people do you see? Do they look like we do today or have we changed somehow and we look very different? Do we look like those UFO people in the movies or something else? Has our world made it that far out? Does our planet look like Mars or Venus?
Imaginative thoughts will allow us humans to solve most any problem and putting the cart in front of the horse will not likely solve anything. With this in mind I ask you if you have already acquired your time machine or are you shopping for one? It is unlikely that someone has gifted you a time machine. Time machines are rare and hard to come by as a rule. Competition is not an issue yet but I imagine that in the future time machines might be common place. I think that once people learn how to use one then everyone will want one. Your thought of what they look like is the only limitation. One thing certain is that the time travel industry is an industry of the future.
We will need some artificial intelligence to keep track of all those mathematical formulas we don't like to do and we'll need a good source of energy to POWER them. Our machines should be reliable and affordable. We could build them right here with the materials we already have from Arkansas to Manitoba. I think this industry is viable and we should START research in the field right away. I have some very good design possibilities right now and so I'm looking for some venture capital to get started ON the design and manufacture of an affordable Time Machine now. I've written this article to get someone thinking in the right direction so we can be building jobs of the future today.
We'll need lots of cash to build a design facility and a manufacturing facility and a research and development center. I have some ideas for the initial START up and need some government and private industry investors. If there are some visionary types out there looking for a very good future investment I would like to hear from you.
