Teleseminar Marketing - What's The Ideal Day And Time To Host A Promotional Teleseminar Call?

Posted by Pat Shanks on Dec 27, 2008

Experienced marketers have found that it's best to schedule promotional teleseminars on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday.

Depending on some markets, Saturday is a great day. Also depending on some businesses, Friday is a great day. For a dentist, Friday is a great day to have a promotional call.

But in most cases for business-to-business or business-to-consumer, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are good -- Thursday being the best, Wednesday being second best, and Tuesday being third for a promotional call.

What is a promotional call?

A promotional call is a call that promotes another series or product.

Why Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday?

On Monday people are getting spam and getting back to work, so you get lost in the clutter. Their days are set with meetings, and Friday they're thinking about the weekend and are out of dodge.

What's the best time?

In most cases the single best time is 6:00 pm Pacific, because at 6:00 pm people are home on the West Coast typically, or they can get off work early.

It's different than 3:00 or 5:00 pm, because they may have to get off way early, but with 6:00 they can get off work at 5:00 and still make the call and many of them do.

On the East Coast they're off work. On the East Coast they're used to watching the Oscars at 11:00 o'clock at night live, because they're on the East Coast. They're night owls over there, so 9:00 pm isn't too late for an East Coast person.

The best time bar none is Thursday at 6:00 pm. What you can do in that case is have a call at 10:00 am then rebroadcast it at 6:00 pm, so you're not on the call at 6:00, but you're doing it live at 10:00 am Pacific. Again, rebroadcasting it at 6:00 pm Pacific and 9:00 pm Eastern is the ideal time and day for a promotional teleseminar.
