One of the biggest fear that men have is contracting colon cancer as these days it seems to be one they also talk about the most. What Causes colon cancer is a hot interest topic. While some few people have genetic tendency, most colon cancer is caused by other cancers, by life style issues such as what a person eats, and smoking cigarettes. A person with the disease usually never learns what caused it.

Colon cancer is one of the worst cancers that people can be diagnosed with. There are many different types of colon cancer that will determine where the cancer originated from and how harmful it is to the patient.

Colon cancer is also called colorectal cancer. It is a cancer of the large intestine which could also include growths in your rectum and appendix. In the United States of America, almost as many people die from this condition annually as there are that die from breast cancer or lung cancer.

Over 108,000 estimated people will be diagnosed with Colon Cancer in 2008. Nearly a third or more will die from the same disease. It's one of the most deadly forms of cancer due to it's normally late symptoms and it's ability to spread to other organs so quickly.
