Speech pathology is a branch of medicine that tries to rectify person’s ability in speech, language, cognition, swallowing and voice. It consists of rehabilitation and correction of physical and other intervening factors through speech therapy. Based on the degree and the cause of the speech disorder the speech pathology include physical enhancement though exercise, repetitive training, visual audio aids and other procedures to enhance communication. The physical therapy involves repeated exercising of the affected organ to strengthen it so that it can perform as expected. Speech is the production of sounds for the purpose of communication. It involves the use of the lips, tongue, teeth, palate, vocal cords, and lungs. Speech language pathology deals with problems with communication and conditions that make it difficult for a person to swallow. When one engages in speech pathology therapy, they will learn techniques and exercises to improve verbal communication.

People with speech disorder often have difficulty in interacting with other human beings. Sometimes because of the way they speak, they are labeled as stupid, dumb, or inept.

Stuttering toddlers often have their parents gravely overly concerned. They wonder about whether they are doing anything wrong and how to counteract the verbal influency. Fact is, that a certain degree of stuttering in toddlers is completely natural.

Do you have a stutter or stammer? Are you looking for therapies and techniques to help you to eradicate your speech impediment? Are you more than willing to work hard to overcome your stutter? These are three questions that I would have certainly answered in the positive when I was in my early twenties. I had been struggling with a speech impediment, stuttering, since I had been a young boy and I had basically had enough. I needed to find a solution to stuttering and I needed to find it quick.

I am a person who had to endure eighteen years of living with a stutter - and what a tough eighteen years it was. I was determined to not let this form of speech impediment get the better of me and I always kept a belief that one day I would be able to eradicate the stutter from my speech and to achieve total fluency - this day was to arrive when I was at the age of twenty-two.
