Many people develop their ideas of what marriage is from what they have seen when they were growing up. They see their parents stressed out paying bills, ignoring each other or watching them argue. Then there are others who develop their ideas of marriage from watching movies and from those married in Hollywood. For the most part, gathering ideas of marriage from those two types of sources may not have been wise. The best way to obtain a god view of marriage is to grow up in a home where both your mother and father are born again and where you are receiving teaching from a ministry leader who has a successful marriage as well.
It is sad to say that many people do not receive an opportunity to grow up in a home where their caretakers or guardians are born again. For those unaware of what born again means, it means that a person has accepted what Jesus Christ has done on the cross, believe that he was raised from the grave and sits with the Father in Heaven and are now filled with God
