Law Legal Book Reviews

Some books on law and legal topics help people understand and deal with legal issues like divorce, wills and inheritance, incorporating, arranging guardianship and making end-of-life care decisions. Some offer insights into the world of courts, corrections or law education. Still other books are fictional or non-fiction thrillers about court cases involving criminal trials or Constitutional law -- the "legal procedural" genre. Perhaps a collection of lawyer jokes would fit into this category? Anyway, find the book you want to read by perusing our database of articles and book reviews. You'll find a book review by a judge next to one by a college student, and both will give you good information about the accuracy, realism and enjoyability of the book. If your friends or the bookstore have been telling you a particular book on law or legalities is a must-read, find a review of it here. Read, consider, and reach your own verdict.

The 21 Irrefutable Laws Of Leadership
By: Julie A. Fleming | 2008-12-13 | Law Legal Book Reviews
The subtitle of Maxwell's book is "Follow Them, and People Will Follow You." Each time I read that, I hear a rejoinder in my head: "Don't follow them, and people won't follow you." Revised and updated in 2007 for the 10th anniversary of The 21 Irrefutable Laws, this book is rightly regarded as a foundational piece of the leadership literature.
The Public Domain - How To Find & Use Copyright-free Writings, Music, Art & More By Stephen Fishman
By: Alain Burrese | 2008-11-22 | Law Legal Book Reviews
The 4th edition of "The Public Domain: How to Find & Use Copyright-Free Writings, Music, Art & More" by Attorney Stephen Fishman is an exceptional guide to this often confusing topic of public domain works that just happen to be free for the taking if you know what to look for and where to look. Published by Nolo, a publisher that is passionate about making the law accessible to everyone, the book is easy to understand by the layperson, but still had depth that I as an attorney found quite satisfying for a basic text on the issues surrounding public domain works.
