For example, did you know that Americans drink ten times more sodas as the Japanese? Did it ever occur to you that Venezuela easily has three times more subway restaurants than France? Or that Canadians drink more fruit juice than any other group of people in the world? As a matter of fact, the average Canadian drinks more than a liter of fruit juice on any given week. Learning more about the food and drink we consume can be interesting even if we do so for sheer entertainment value rather than any real need to discover new recipes.
