Sometimes a community needs a paradigm shift in order to change things for the better. The Pollyanna Principles by Hildy Gottlieb provides a great case for why a paradigm shift is needed as well as a solid plan for beginning that arduous task. This is a well reasoned book with excellent examples of how the principles work in real life. This is one book you need to read!

"Re-Think: A Business Manifesto For Cutting Costs and Boosting Innovation" by Ric Merrifield was a good quick read with some interesting examples of how different companies learned to cut costs, strengthen innovation, and profit from change. The author's objective is for people to "Re-think" their business to improve efficiency and productivity, and I believe this book will get readers to "Re-think" the what and how of their respective businesses.

Niche Marketing On Crack is the title of an e-book by Andrew Hansen. Its subject (as you can probably guess from the title) is the popular topic of niche marketing. As titles go, this one is nearly as off-putting as the recent stream of "Death of" and "Killer" books but shock and sleaze get attention where being pleasant gets ignored, so allowances have to be made. The content of the sales page was, however, intriguing enough to get me to part with my $47.

The book I read is called Marketing Warfare. This review was written from a military point of view and describes how these age old war strategies are being filtered and applied towards marketing, and how those marketing principles are being used in today's war effort.
