"These days, when I hear someone say, 'Big boys don't cry,' I hear a voice inside me answer, 'I know. But men do.'" This is a lesson it took Dan Clark many years of searching to discover, and the final words of the last chapter in this riveting and candid account of his life, career, and steroid addiction.

Loral Langemeier's "The Millionaire Maker: Act, Think, and Make Money the Way the Wealthy Do" contains some good information that can be applied toward the reader's financial freedom plan. It is a motivating book, and Langemeier does provide some very good advice for wealth planning.
"Re-Think: A Business Manifesto For Cutting Costs and Boosting Innovation" by Ric Merrifield was a good quick read with some interesting examples of how different companies learned to cut costs, strengthen innovation, and profit from change. The author's objective is for people to "Re-think" their business to improve efficiency and productivity, and I believe this book will get readers to "Re-think" the what and how of their respective businesses.
If you thought your child might be e-mailing the wrong people, would you secretly read his or her e-mails? If you are against lying, would it be okay to tell a small white lie to someone with Alzheimer's or to an in-law to "keep the peace?" Can a person be almost ethical?
It is a beautifully laid out book with scores of magnificent photographs. Combine the photos with the brief descriptions of places around the entire globe and you have a great coffee table book and a text that will inspire you to plan your next travel adventure. What I enjoy most about this book is it helps generate ideas of places to go and things I want to do.
This book was written to help you with your roundhouse kick. That's what it was written for and that is exactly what it will do. If, that is, you read it and USE it. By that I mean, actually have this book in your training area and do what Kovacich teaches. USE the book to improve your kicking.
I was speaking with a client this week regarding a business related matter that I am helping him with and he mentioned the expense of his divorce that he had a different attorney handling. He commented that only the attorneys win and they were the ones making money.
Larry Winget's book, "You're Broke Because You Want To Be: How to Stop Getting By and Start Getting Ahead" is full of practical, down to earth, advice on managing your finances. It's not rocket science, in fact, on page 125, Winget writes, "I probably haven't surprised you with anything I've suggested up to this point." It is just solid good advice on working harder, spending within your means, and making the right choices and being disciplined about it.
The 4th edition of "The Public Domain: How to Find & Use Copyright-Free Writings, Music, Art & More" by Attorney Stephen Fishman is an exceptional guide to this often confusing topic of public domain works that just happen to be free for the taking if you know what to look for and where to look. Published by Nolo, a publisher that is passionate about making the law accessible to everyone, the book is easy to understand by the layperson, but still had depth that I as an attorney found quite satisfying for a basic text on the issues surrounding public domain works.
"Nolo's Plain-English Law Dictionary" by the Editors of Nolo, Gerald N. Hill and Kathleen Thompson Hill is promoted as, "This is 'not' your grandfather's law dictionary." This law dictionary is written in clear English and contains compete definitions of legal terms you need today.
