When a child has ADHD, the parent or guardian of the child can sometimes blame thyself for the problem. They saddle with the guilt for making their child's life miserable, as if they brought on, or are making the symptoms of ADHD worse with their actions. Parenting, good or bad does not cause or prevent ADHD. If your child has been diagnosed with ADHD, don't shoulder the responsibility upon yourself. You are not at fault. It's important to learn as much about it as you can, and do everything you can to help your child. That way you will feel blameless.
