In the global World of Labor, most countries now how a pool of Migrant workers, who are largely the first people to be affected by the current economic crisis. We have all seem photographs of Migrant workers returning "home" to Bangladesh, Brazil, China, Europe, India, the Philippines and Africa, after living and working for several years in another Country.

Now we all face the prospect of economic uncertainty, and know that its going to get tough for many of us. Perhaps, its time to look at history, and see what ways our ancestors survived similar crisis's. One ancient and trusted method is bartering.

Few Countries are currently self-sufficient in food production, because of the complexes of the old global economy. However those that are forced to import staples, with weakening currencies face a population that is spending more on essentials, and often cutting back on buying the right food.
