I love old fashion recipes as I really enjoy going back to the basics sometimes. Here are some recipes for old fashion macaroni salads that are very good. These are from the days when we never heard of "pasta salad". We had good old fashion macaroni salad. It is still worth having today.

This tasty Carrot-Fruit Bundt Cake is made with a healthier for you dessert in mind. Most cakes of this type would contain about a cup of oil. This cake only has a quarter cup of heart healthy canola oil while the remainder of oil is replaced with applesauce. The carrots add beta-carotene to this dessert. The glaze is made from fruit juices and honey topped with nuts. Enjoy a slice of this cake, without regret.

Today we have cake decorators and beautiful cakes in the bakeries, the grocery stores, discount stores, etc. But I still like to go back to the cakes of my childhood and I'm sure many of you do too. These recipes are for old fashion cakes that go back to my childhood and perhaps yours. Velvet Crumb Cake is a small square cake with a crumb topping that is perfect with coffee or tea. The Pineapple Pound Cake is perfect served with fresh fruit or berries.
