Tinnitus is a condition which is evidenced by the sufferer hearing abnormal noise in the ears. Tinnitus is not a disease. Rather, it is usually a symptom of an underlying disease. People suffering through tinnitus hear certain noises such as humming, ringing, whistling, clicking, hissing or chirping in the absence of any such sound around. There are many factors that can cause the condition, and ear infections or trauma are very common causes.
