Is aloe vera a proven cure for diabetes? Could the treatment provide long-lasting results? What other remedies are available to cure diabetes?

Since time in memoriam, our ancestors believed how vital the roles of herbal medicines are to our daily lives. As proof to this, we as descendants have adapted their introduction to concoctions and have continuously preached of its essence to humanity. Introduction to diabetes

Diabetes is a medical disorder that causes the body to produce an excessive amount of urine. The basic cause for the disorder is a high-glucose or sugar degree. When one has diabetes, it is known that he has to regulate his eating habits from carbohydrate, protein, and sugar intake. 

The disease is hereditary in nature, meaning, when your great grandparents had it, you as a part of the family tree have a great tendency of acquiring the same condition. For ages, the treatment for the disease include taking in of insulin through injections. Insulin is known as a hormone regulator for glucose level in the blood and is usually produced in the pancreas. 

Aloe vera and diabetes

Needless to say, however, some families affected by diabetes have taken into account the necessity of adapting traditional medication. Some believe that bitter tasting vegetables and crops may help prevent the possibilities of complication. The Arabs believe that the parched juice of the aloe vera is a good cure for diabetes. This has been supported by several experiments conducted by medical experts. Observations were made by using five patients with non-insulin diabetes. 

These people were administered with daily does of half a teaspoon of aloe for four to fourteen weeks.  After such period, it was found out that the sugar level of the five patients dropped exceeding the high mark for diabetes, thus gaining a more stable glucose level. 

Some facts about aloe vera for diabetes

Several studies may have shown efficacy of aloe vera to lower the glucose level of a person with diabetes. However, it is important to note a few things that may help avoid misconception on the product’s use.

Aloe vera is not yet proven as an effective treatment for the disease. Despite many researches conducted to prove the efficiency of aloe vera for hypoglycemia treatment, it is still necessary to perform more experiments to establish the plant’s effectiveness. 

The plant does not ensure long-term treatment for diabetes. It may help lower down the glucose level which is the main cause associated with the disease. However, if you stop taking the herb, you may encounter some problems. It is best to consult your doctor at all times to know more ways that will help you out of the disorder.
