Insurance Agents Are Using "no-cost Offers" To Generate More Leads!
The past couple years has been to say the least and a challenging sales period for all of us. Prospective clients have been in the freeze frame mode wandering if Congress is going to come out with some form of Health-care for all. Many of our current clients as well as potential customers have Lost their jobs. Most of the lead programs as a result have seen a dip in ROI (return ON investment). So we all have had to work much harder to keep our heads above water.
I would like to offer a couple ideas that I believe can help make a difference but it will be up to you to get out of your comfort zone and make it happen. There is an old adage that says When the going gets tough, the tough get going and how true over the years I have found this to be! So let's give you something to get going with.
Referrals have always been the preferred type of lead that most of us in sales would prefer to work. However we never seem to get enough of them. That is because most of us do not ask for them often enough. When we do remember to ask and the individual blows us OFF in a nice way. We give up and move ON with our presentation or our next appointment. When an individual does not give us referrals the first time we ask for them and it does not usually mean that we should give up and move ON. When they object or blow you OFF, what their usually saying is You have not given me enough information as to how you're going to handle the referrals. You see most people really do want to help and but they value the relationship of the referred person more than their desire to help you. You need to tell them how you're going to approach and handle the names they give you. You need to put them at ease by letting them know you're not going to put them ON the SPOT or go over and attempt to high pressure close them.
A creative way to getting many more referrals are to use No Cost Offer Giveaways. When you give someone something of value, such as a No Cost Offer gift and they are more inclined to give you names of others that would also benefit from the same gifts or No Cost Offers.
