Who does not dread acne? It strikes the best of us and sometimes turns faces into highways riddled with potholes bad enough and ugly enough to stop traffic. Worse, acne is persistent. It has an average lifespan of 6 to 14 years; sometimes, it persists for even longer periods! Incidents of infantile acne are rare. For the most part, acne plagues adolescents, 85% of which suffer from a mild form of acne commonly referred to as a zit. Only 15% develop acne that requires clinical attention. Acne is rarely seriously disfiguring, but this does not stop sufferers from seeking effective means for acne removal. After all, who would want a highway for a face? The articles in this section are all about acne.
